This is a small Calathea, only growing to about 15" tall, with wonderful foliage. The leaves are pale green with dark green markings radiating out from the mid-vein. The undersides of the leaves are purplish.

 It is a wonderful container plant for a shady patio or a house plant.
Use rich, well-drained soil
Light - low light or shaded
Keep soil moist but not over watered
